Kansas City is a new adventure for Cross Connection! We know that walking beside one another and learning from communities is the best way to understand redemption. We are partnering with The HUB Argentine. The Hub’s mission is to connect our neighbors to their individual gifts, fellow neighbors, faith and culture, vital resources for health and wholeness, stories, and joy. We live that out through our 6 programs [free grocery store, storytelling program, after-school program, community garden, shower, and clothing closet] and by developing deep relationships with our neighbors in the Argentine community. This is accomplished through relationally and educationally focused activities. Lodging is still in the works. Lodging will be at Trinity UMC in Kansas City, MO. Meals and showers will be at Trinity, we ask that you bring cots or air mattresses.

The trip begins on Monday and wraps on Friday. Registration is first-come, first-served, so be sure to sign up early to reserve space and have a greater chance of being assigned the week you want!

What does a week in KS look like?

• Daily devotions and meals with The HUB Argentine

• Working in the community garden, clothing closet, and repair projects at a local nonprofit organization, ministry, or church

• “Path of Awareness” – walking tour to understand the Indigenous history or KC.

• Worship

• Living without your usual amenities

• Hearing stories from individuals from the community
