WhEN DO WE SERVE?

Our groups serve primarily during June and July. Select counties are serviced during our year round retreats- Caldwell & Watagua.

requirements

We offer SAFE ACCESS projects free of charge to people in various counties in North Carolina and Virginia. CC has no formal stipulations or criteria that the people we work for must meet. We will try to work with anyone in need, regardless of age, financial situation, or other factors. We do not discriminate based on race or religion.

Due to there being volunteers under the age of 18 on the worksite, neighbors must pass a sex offender check to receive services.

Services We Offer

  • Minor Construction (Wheelchair
    Ramps (around 30 feet and under)

  • Porches (5x5)

  • Steps

  • Handrails

  • Minor Exterior painting

  • Yard work (Mowing, Weedeating, Pulling Weeds, etc)

Services We DO NOT Offer

Unfortunately, due to time, budget, and ability, we are unable to do the following:

  • Flooring

  • Plumbing

  • Masonry

  • Electrical Work

  • Roof Repair

  • Underpinning

  • Other Major Home Renovations

  • Major Yardwork or Tree Service

  • Any interior projects

Where We Work

We currently serve the following 13 counties in North Carolina:

Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, portions of Dare, Gaston, Lincoln, Tyrrell, Watauga, and Wilkes.

We are also serving the Richmond Metro Area in Virginia, Summer 2026, for select weeks*

2026 Camp Weeks

Week 1: June 21-26 Wilkes/Coast

(Alleghany, Ashe, Wilkes, Watauga/ Dare, Tyrrell)

Week 2: July 5-10 Loy White

(Burke, Cleveland)

Week 3: Loy White/Coast

(Catawba, Lincoln, Gaston/ Dare, Tyrrell)

Week 4: Loy White and Wilkes

(Catawba, Gaston/ Caldwell, Alexander, Wikes)

Projects must be within a 45-50 minute radius of our camp locations to be considered.
